About the Elite Academy
The St. Louis Lions Elite Academy is committed to improving and providing young elite players from all youth clubs in the St. Louis area the best possible training to help them improve as players and to move them to a higher level of play. During the 2011 season 3 players were chosen to participate in the national ODP camp through participation in the Lions Elite Academy.
Our Objectives: To provide young elite players a platform where they will be challenged to take their game and level of play to the next level. This will be achieved by quality coaching, the dedication and hard work by each player. A high level of motivation by the player will play a major role in making each player a better player. Each player in turn will benefit as will their club team from their involvement.
USL Super-Y League
Currently the academy includes boys U13, U14 and U15/16 teams which will be playing in the USL Super-Y League as the St. Louis Lions Elite Academy . The season for the league runs parallel to the USL PDL season where our St. Louis Lions have successfully competed for the past 6 years. Games typically begin after the Spring leagues and State Cup tournaments to enable players from all clubs to participate.
