About Brandon D. Larkin, M.D. - Sports Medicine, Non-Surgical Dr. Larkin is a native of St. Peters and has been providing the highest quality care in sports medicine and non-surgical orthopaedics to patients of all ages at Advanced Bone & Joint Formerly St. Peters Bone & Joint since 2007. Dr. Larkin has specialized training in the promotion of lifelong fitness and wellness, as well as the treatment and prevention of illness and injury. He is able to help both athletes and non-athletes maximize function and minimize disability and time away from sports, work, or school. He has special interests in concussion care, return to play after injury, and the treatment of acute tendon and ligament injuries, as well as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. After completing high school at Fort Zumwalt South, Dr. Larkin received his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he graduated cum laude. Dr. Larkin received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in pediatrics at the University of Missouri and trained in the primary care sports medicine fellowship program at Saint Louis University. Dr. Larkin is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both pediatric and primary care sports medicine. Since 2007, he has been the team physician for both the River City Rascals professional baseball club and Fort Zumwalt South High School athletics. He serves as the medical director for the Lewis and Clark Marathon and served as associate medical director for the 2006 NCAA Men’s Soccer College Cup. Other events for which he has provided medical coverage include the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Wrestling Championships and the 2007 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four. Dr. Larkin has presented at both regional and national sports medicine conferences and he has authored chapters in several sports medicine textbooks. With his expertise and specialized training, Dr. Larkin brings the highest quality of care to the St. Charles County community.
