TG Lions Academy & St. Charles FC Partner
The TG Lions Academy and St. Charles FC are excited to announce the formation of a soccer alliance between both clubs and will partner together moving into the 2021/22 season and beyond.
Both clubs from St. Charles County will remain as separate organizations, but will work together on strategic initiatives, with an emphasis on player development, coach education, and juniors programming collaboration. The two clubs will also benefit from a sharing of facilities at Lutheran HS in St. Peters, Heartland Park in Wentzville and Tony Glavin Soccer Complex in Cottleville. This alliance will enhance the strength of both clubs and allow for a further greater positive impact on the youth soccer players of Saint Charles County.
“The coaching staff between both clubs is a huge positive to share ideas and collaborate with and will only help take all of our players to a higher level. Both clubs share the same philosophy in player development and I look forward to working with all coaches of St. Charles FC staff”, says Tony Glavin Technical Director for the TG Lions Academy.
“We want to share ideas and knowledge, with a focus on player development opportunities for both clubs. We will work towards offering a number of different experiences for players and staff, whether friendly matches between various age groups, joint camp, clinic events or simply just swapping best practices and staff idea sharing across all departments at both clubs.
"Both TG Lions Academy Soccer Club and ourselves believe there is a real benefit in the partnership. Each club has a plan and identity, but it is clear we share some ideas, aims and ambitions, and we know how we want to achieve those“ says Boys Director Sean McGuigan Hart.
As both clubs look to progress into the coming season and beyond they will also look to grow other areas of the partnership with shared ideas and vision.
